well done but still the best I ever had
cynic soup and some cream of disappointment
a loaf of something on the verge of going bad

in the back you’ll find my contribution
behind the coffee maker, into fruition
growing slowly into a muddle of moldy glow
out of the fridge, climbs my vile creation

stew salad casserole of fungus and bugs
this wretched taste must have come from above
these are two things that make a good pair
the rotting of carcass and the ideals of love

go ahead, take a bite, it won’t kill you
you’ll like if you try, but remember to chew
if disaster you’re after, digest an insect
feeding on fluids, your flesh eaten through
