I wrote another of my faux-poems last night, this one political in nature. That’s not usually my MO.

This one has taken off on Stumble Upon and has been delivered over 600 times in the last 18 hours or so. Nuts! Anyway, here you go.

today we talked of politics,
the way things are and were
and how they really should be.

WE

have the answers that

THEY

have been missing all along
and wonder why we don’t
feel connected.

if no one is willing to talk
about what the issues really

ARE

and no one really has

A PLAN

we are in more trouble
than hope can help.

i try my best to stay
out of religion and politics,
when i have to talk to
people who are into

RELIGION

or

POLITICS

as it is a one way street
and everyone drives their
own direction, choosing

COLLISION

over paying

ATTENTION

to what the signs say.

i have been in enough
fender benders to know
that even those flowing
the same direction as you
can be caught not looking
where they are going
and i am under-insured or

UNDER-WHELMED

at the very least.

my role in this is
purely as a spectator.

once you all (and

YOU KNOW WHO

you are) have your shit
together and have found
something worth saving,

(DON’T SAY HOPE

and

DON’T SAY CHANGE)

how you plan to save it,
and when we can expect
results,

please send me a new
voter registration card,

i fed mine to the
